We use Autodesk Inventor 2025 to design solutions for customers wanting a renewable packaging solution.
A customer will send their part as an STP file or another type of CAD file to our CAD team. With our experience, we will create a suitable stillage to hold the customer’s part.
When designing the stillage, we think about how people will handle it. We also consider the cost of the product.
We look at transportation, like how many parts fit in a large lorry. We focus on how easy it is to make, and health and safety plays an important part too.
Finally, we aim to maximise storage space. This helps us create a product that meets our customers’ needs.

Designing Custom Stillages for Your Business
Whether it’s a PVC insert, Polyurethane dunnage or a customised steel stillage, we can provide the best quality stillages to meet your requirements. Our team of expert designers makes sure your stillages are of the highest quality and are made precisely to meet your specific needs.
The process to getting your custom stillages is simple. Send your enquiry to our sales team and we can provide a concept design to you within 1-2 weeks. After approval, our design team will create the full working drawing. The manufacturing team will then make the prototype.
3D Printing and Laser Cutting
Using 3D printing and laser cut suppliers our prototype stillages will be manufactured to the lowest tolerances and bring the 3D model to life.
Once we receive and approve the prototype, we can start making the volume production you need, which usually takes about 3 to 6 weeks.

Custom Stillage Design – How To Order
1. Contact our sales team – get in touch on sales@bluestarproducts.co.uk to enquire about custom stillages and get a quote.
2. Provide a CAD model of your part – this ensures our design team can effectively design your custom stillage to maximise storage space and security.
3. Approve the design concept – using all of the information your provided our design team, we should have a design concept for approval within 1 to 2 weeks.
4. Approve the full drawing – once the concept is approved, our design team will work on the full drawing within 2-3 weeks.
5. Approve the custom stillage prototype – after designs are approved by you, we will work on creating a prototype stillage for you to see how your custom stillages will perform.
6. Final production – following signing off our prototype, we turn around the final production within a matter of weeks.
